A slight improvement in construction industry?
This occupational area has the smallest share of the overall sample and includes none of the top 25 professions. Among the construction professions, there was a slight improvement in both interior construction and structural/civil engineering. Specialists in interior construction complete buildings after the shell phase or renovate existing buildings. For this, employers are currently looking above all for painters and carpenters. The share of jobs for interior construction professions has increased somewhat within Production. In relation to the overall sample, however, it is as low as it has been in ten years (1.8 %).
In structural and civil engineering, the prospect of contracts under the federal government's infrastructure investment program may have improved the mood somewhat. Here, employers are looking above all for more construction helpers as well as road and civil construction workers than last year.
In the food work area, the need for chefs has risen somewhat. One in six job offers in the occupational area is aimed at them. Agriculture and forestry remains at the very bottom of all work areas. Only job seekers with experience as a gardener have a notable choice of jobs; a good one in ten offers in Production is advertised for garden staff.
